Empress Gifty Releases Video for Awieyepa

Multi-award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty has released a music video for her song Awieyepa.

The video tells the story of a young talented girl going through the challenges of life as she grows up, and how through her perseverance and constant pursuit to reach her dreams she succeeds.

The song drives home an inspirational message of hope, that God is with us irrespective of the challenges people may encounter. It goes on to emphasize that we should confidently know God is with us and not against us, Once God has set you apart for greatness you will prosper irrespective of opposition.

The young girl who is acted by Empress Gifty had a musical gift, and like fire shut up in her bones, she could not keep quiet about it. Even though she knew the trouble that would follow her, she trusted God and continued to do so knowing that God would never lead her astray.

In the video, different periods in her life journey are clearly reflected leading from a darker time to ultimate success. The song was written by Ewura Abena and the song is based on Jeremiah 29:11. This is a song that brings great hope when you are going through diverse situations and it will cause you to recall that God is with you and for you, you just need to trust Him always.  

K-LOVE Fan Awards Unveils Lineup
