David and Tamela Mann Celebrate 35th Anniversary

Celebrity couple David and Tamela Mann are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary, as a testimony to what they have described as a remarkable milestone of true enduring love. Despite facing several storms throughout their journey, the Manns have emerged even stronger as a couple.

While attending the Black Culture Unlocked event, the inspiring couple had a deeply emotional moment as David took the liberty to express his appreciation for his wife. Lauding her many great qualities he shared that Tamela is a rare breed of treasure and a ride-or-die partner; citing how despite facing several challenges, she remained positive throughout and encouraged him to keep pushing forward.

David revealed that even though he had experienced multiple failed businesses, Tamela never gave up on him. She continued to strengthen and encourage him to keep trying, and over the years this has strengthened their bond even further.

On her part, Tamela could not hold back her tears during David’s speech, reflecting on their journey together and the times they had overcome obstacles.

David also shared a musical performance that narrated the story of a day that nearly ruined their marriage. In the performance, he talked about a knock at the door that could have ended everything, and that knock was his past sins coming to haunt him. He further revealed that his past sins were big enough to ruin their marriage, but the love they had for each other was much stronger.

The couple has written a book (us against the World) that highlights all the challenges they have faced and how they overcame them together. Through their book, they aim to inspire other couples to persevere through challenging times in their relationships.

David and Tamela Mann’s love story is truly inspiring, and their dedication to each other after 35 years of marriage is a testament to the power of love and commitment.

Like a Tree” Planted by the Waters”

Are you planted by the waters? Are you trusting Jesus in every area of your life?

Some years ago, our house developed a major water blockage, and I was using a water hose in a desperate attempt to un-stop the main drain. To say that I, and everything around me, was completely soaked would be an understatement.

Like a Tree Planted by the Water

As might be expected the phone rang, and with the gushing water hose in one hand I answered the phone with the other; without even saying “hello” a voice on the other end blurted out, “And he shall be like a tree planted by the water!”

God definitely has a sense of humor! My Mother, who had no idea what I was doing at the time, was quoting what has become one of my favorite Scriptures.

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in him.
He will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
Jer 17:7-8 (NIV)

Years later, in the midst of a morning devotion, I sensed the Holy Spirit ask, “Do you trust me in every area of your life?” Again the Scripture in Jer 17:7 came to mind. I knew this Scripture by heart, but this time it had a much deeper message.

Perhaps for the first time, I realized that God was describing a lifestyle that is based on complete trust and confidence in Him. He was asking, “Do you trust Me in every area of your life, for anything you may encounter?”

So I ask, are you trusting in Jesus for all your needs, in every area of your life? There is confidence in knowing that He will be with you in every situation and that He promises never to leave or abandon you. (Heb 13:5)

If you will trust in the Lord, He will be there to help with decisions, temptations, illness, social situations, and whatever you may encounter. You will find renewed trust, hope, and a deeper walk with Him.

In good times, tough times, or in a year of drought, you can be like the tree by the waters that do not fear or worry; whose leaves are always green and never fails to bear fruit.

When your trust and confidence is in the Lord, you are blessed. It’s His promise!

Nobigdyl. – PRESIDENT

lyrics

President Dyllie
I’m feeling like diddy
A fool what I pity
The pride my achilles
I bought a new house and it’s outside the city
It’s me and my baby and two little kitties
See that I’m winning
And think that I’m sinning
You gotta be kidding
Well actually
I guess you right factually
Thankful the savior took that from me happily
I know that satan is mad at me
Gotta be grateful that God is amazing
And got me up out of my tragedy
This not a fable
He made me a table
And left all my enemies raggedy
He put the oil on my head
And the sword of the spirit
Of course by the bed
And the more interference
The more he protect
I think I heard a little OPP
Hand me that ESV
I need it speedily
Send him right back to his pop
Then hop in the whip is you with me or not?
I got me a chick I don’t need a side
Trust me you don’t want the carne asada
Nappy and happy and black like Assata
President Dyllie I feel like Obama
President Dyllie
I’m feeling like diddy
A fool what I pity
The pride my achilles
I bought a new house and it’s outside the city
It’s me and my baby and two little kitties
See that I’m winning
And think that I’m sinning
You gotta be kidding
Well actually
I guess you right factually
Thankful the savior took that from me happily
I’ve had a problem with walking on water since back when I got out the boat
I’m not a wolf but I follow the Lamb got a problem with following goats
If you took Lot out of Sodom in autumn would all of them fall in a hole
Meaning if God didn’t stop me I’d prolly be salt or a column of smoke
And I told him I said it
The OT it told me I owed him a debt
And I don’t have the credit
I’m holding my head
And I know that my soul is infected
I don’t need a pope or a medic
Suppose I had read in
The scriptures his chosen elected
Are covered and wholly accepted
The holiest weapon is knowing Jehovah
Ain’t resting and I brought a pole in the session
President Dyllie
I’m feeling like diddy
A fool what I pity
The pride my achilles
I bought a new house and it’s outside the city
It’s me and my baby and two little kitties
See that I’m winning
And think that I’m sinning
You gotta be kidding
Well actually
I guess you right factually
Thankful the savior took that from me happily
