Renowned bluegrass gospel group, Chosen Road, is gearing up for the release of its highly anticipated new album, “It Never Gets Old,”. The album which will be released on June 23, was produced by band members Zachary Alvis, Tyler Robertson, and Jonathan Buckner. It features Chosen Road’s signature blend of traditional Appalachian instruments, tight harmonies, and a mix of original compositions and refreshed renditions of beloved classics.
“It Never Gets Old” showcases the band’s growth both musically and personally, according to founding member Jonathan Buckner. He explains, “This album represents a season of growth in our personal lives, and I believe that’s facilitated the growth we’ve experienced musically. We’ve also grown more confident in our own ideas and thought processes, as well as how we want to define our sound.”

With roots in the Appalachian Mountains, Chosen Road draws inspiration from the rich heritage of bluegrass and old-time music fused with their Christian faith. Buckner describes their music as “heart” music, inviting listeners to embrace their stories and share their own God-given narratives.
The album opens with the energetic modern hymn “Awake My Soul,” written by Lee Patrick Black and Tony Wood, setting a vibrant and joyful tone. Notable tracks on the album include the moving ballad and lead single “I Want To Be Just Like You,” which will be available for streaming on June 2. Additionally, the band pays tribute to missionary Karen Watson with the song “People’s Praise,” inspired by a letter she left before her tragic death in Iraq. Another meaningful track, “One Willing Soul,” was crafted for the North American Mission Board’s Church Replant and Revitalization Team.
Fans of Chosen Road can catch them performing songs from “It Never Gets Old” at various upcoming events, including the esteemed “Sunday Mornin’ Country” celebration during Nashville’s CMA Fest on June 11, as well as the Big Ticket Music Festival in Michigan on June 23-24, headlined by Crowder and Zach Williams. The band is also part of the star-studded lineup for the “40 Days & 40 Nights at the Ark” concert series this summer at the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky.
Stay tuned for the release of “It Never Gets Old” on June 23, as Chosen Road continues to blaze a new trail in the world of bluegrass Gospel music.
