The Gospel Agency CEO, George O Janssen, has revealed the selection of the first U.S. Ambassadors for Europe’s inaugural Black Music Appreciation Month in June 2023. This month-long celebration of Black music was inspired by its predecessor in the U.S. dating back to 1979 when President Jimmy Carter declared it a national treasured cultural heritage.
Janssen announced the selection of three talented award-winning gospel artists, Shallon Tore’, Butta The Preacher, and Emcee N.I.C.E., who will showcase the richness and evolution of Black music with a fusion of gospel, hip-hop/rap, and pop sounds. The trio started the 2023 Crazy About God World Tour in the U.S., with plans to take their talents international.

Janssen hopes to have the U.S. Ambassadors perform in Europe and give guest lectures about the music and its impact on other music genres, civil rights, and bringing people together locally and globally.
Shallon Tore’ acknowledges gospel music’s influence as a global treasure, impacting everyone in some way. She believes that gospel music’s true treasure lies in how it has changed the world’s perspective on humanity, promoting a more civil society for everyone.
