South Africa’s internationally acclaimed gospel group, Joyous Celebration has dropped another video from their new album titled Bonginkosi Ngazo.

The song titled “Bonginkosi Ngazo” comes from their latest album titled “Still We Rise” which celebrates the group’s 25th year in the music ministry. The album which was recorded at the Joburg Theatre features a combination of old fan favourites and new compositions that are sure to become fan favorites in years to come.

In the midst of the pandemic, Joyous Celebration brings a message of hope and positivity with their this milestone album which happens to be their 25th, and is their first album under Universal Music Africa. It speaks to the unconquerable human spirit and its resilience when faced with demanding situations and in the face of adversity. The recording took place without popular choir master, Co-founder and Executive Producer Lindelani Mkhize who was absent due to ill health. He however, still conducted from behind the scenes seeing to it that the performance remained spirited and uplifting.

Speaking about the 16 track album, Lindelani referred to it as a ‘miracle baby’, because he says they managed to work on it even in times such as this where there are limitations to everything, and they pulled it through the grace of God as they had limited time to conclude everything, and irrespective of the strict covid19 rules, they managed to record their album and the crowd enjoyed every moment of it.

Joyous Celebration became popular in the 1990s and are known for popular songs such Lona ba ratang ho phela, In the shadow of His wings and Hallelujah Nkateko to mention a few.
