Motown Gospel and Capitol CMG are in celebration mode as they garnered an impressive 28 nominations for the Stellar Awards. Leading the pack with a remarkable 10 nods is Pastor Mike, Jr., whose collaboration with Motown Gospel & Capitol CMG’s Re: Think, via Blacksmoke Worldwide, has showcased his innovative music and solidified his impact on the industry.
Another standout artist on this year’s list is Tye Tribbett, earning a whopping 9 nominations for his fan-favorite album, “All Things New.” Tribbett’s album, his first since 2017, has been fueled by chart-topping hits like “Get Up,” as well as three #1 radio singles: “We Gon’ Be Alright,” “Anyhow,” and “New.”

Renowned vocalist Tasha Cobbs Leonard, a fifteen-time Stellar Award winner, will co-host the awards ceremony alongside popular singer/songwriter Jonathan McReynolds. Cobbs Leonard’s critically acclaimed project,
“Hymns,” which includes the hit singles “The Moment” and “The Church I Grew Up In,” earns her an additional 5 nominations, including a coveted spot for Artist of the Year.
Completing the roster of nominated artists are Brian Courtney Wilson, recognized for his album “Transitions” featuring the anthemic track “Always Peace,” and Gene Moore, acknowledged for his feature on PJ Morton’s highly acclaimed song, “The Better Benediction.”

The 38th Annual Stellar Awards ceremony will be recorded live on July 15, 2023, at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The event promises to be a star-studded affair celebrating the best of gospel music.
