South African Gospel music group Spirit of Praise has achieved a YouTube milestone. The group made the announcement in a social media post where they displayed their golden award for passing 1000 000 subscribers.
Fans joined them in the celebration after the group posted the gold Youtube award on their Social media with the caption “Just arrived in the mail”.
Spirit of Praise is the first gospel group to be awarded this golden award from YouTube in South Africa. According to a fan, “Spirit of Praise has been nothing short of excellent and consistent in their craft, spreading the gospel through spirit-filled worship and praise that has brought great joy, healing, strength, and more to many”. Another fan said, “…and they never disappoint fans, they always eat the bread and leave no crumbs leaving many in an “I want to hear more of what Spirit of praise has in store” state”.
The talented gospel music group ‘Spirit of Praise’, comprising of several gifted gospel artists and singers, has been making waves in the South African music scene. Their music project, ‘Intense Worship and Praise’, is inspiring and uplifting the Christian community towards a closer relationship with the Lord.
Since their formation in 2008, ‘Spirit of Praise’ has consistently released various projects with traditional gospel music styles and powerful content that have touched the hearts of many. Their albums currently trend on all online music platforms, and their performances have enriched several lives in South Africa and beyond.

The group recorded their first two volume projects, ‘Volume 1’ and ‘Volume 2’, at the Pretoria State Theatre in 2008. The albums feature several soloist gospel artists and songwriters, including Avis, Keke, Shana Andile B, Twasa, Tshepiso, Mari Michael, and Solly Mahlangu. These projects were a huge breakthrough for ‘Spirit of Praise’, as they were sold across all music stores both locally and internationally.
Since then, they have recorded volume 3 – volume 9 which will be recorded on the 27th of May, and fans eagerly anticipate many more volumes from the talented gospel music group. The primary goal of the ‘Spirit of Praise’ is to gather, enlighten, encourage, and inspire the Christian community towards a greater relationship and bonding with the Lord.
