The movie tells the story of a couple, Tony and Elizabeth Jordan, who appear to have a perfect life but are struggling with their marriage. Elizabeth, who is a real estate agent, meets an elderly woman named Miss Clara, who becomes her client and eventually helps her discover the power of prayer. Miss Clara teaches Elizabeth how to create a “war room,” a place where she can pray and seek God’s guidance for her life and her marriage.
