Since the beginning of time water has been honored as sacred; people celebrated water with songs and prayers were made while collecting water from local springs. People of old were wise enough and connected to the elements that supported and sustained life.

Water has been proven over and over again to be the most important element in human lives, and as such should be made an every day part of lives. A lack of adequate water content in the human body results in dehydration which in many cases may result in swellings in the brain, seizures and kidney failure. Drinking adequate water can help one avoid such complications. Water helps in the  breaking down of food which in turn helps in the digestion thereof.

Water helps to improve the circulation of oxygen throughout the body. It cleans toxins in the blood and the entire body and this results in clear skin because essential vitamins and minerals are transported easily.

About 60% of the body is made up of water. Cartilage, found in joints and the disks of the spine, contain around 80 percent water. Long-term dehydration can reduce the joints’ shock-absorbing ability, leading to joint pain. The bowel needs water to work properly. Dehydration can also lead to digestive problems, constipation, and an overly acidic stomach. This increases the risk of heartburn and stomach ulcers. A lack of water can cause blood to become thicker, but drinking water decreases blood pressure.

All these should be enough motivation for you to drink water… If you start if you haven’t, what are you waiting for? .
