Meet “Morijah”

Ivorian Gospel singer-songwriter, Morijah 1, whose real name is N’DA Gnamiensè Reine Morija, is rapidly making a name for herself in the music industry. Born on August 8, 1999, in Adjamé, Ivory Coast, Morijah is the fourth of seven children in a Christian family with pastoral parents. Her brother, Rastiger, won the popular musical competition, The Last Voice.

Morijah’s musical journey began at the age of 13 when she found her personal faith in the Lord. Two years later, she was baptized and joined the musical group at her church. She attended Williamsville Methodist Primary School in Adjamé, where she excelled academically, and later went to Lycée de Cocody-Angré in Abidjan, where her singing talent shone in various competitions. After completing her baccalaureate, she enrolled in the Faculty of Law at the Center for Research and Action for Peace (CERAP-UJ), where she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in private law.

Morijah signed a contract with Djeys Records in October 2020 and started her musical career by posting cover videos of well-known Christian songs. In January 2021, she released her first single, “Parle-moi,” which has garnered over 1,000,000 views on YouTube. In June 2021, she released her second single, “Allô Allô,” with the music video received over 4,500,000 views to date.

On December 4, 2021, Morijah released her first musical project titled Reconnaissance, a 5-song EP featuring collaborations with rappers KS Bloom and David Okit. The video for the title track, which features David Okit, has amassed over 4,000,000 views on YouTube. Morijah has since become a rising star in French-speaking gospel and Ivorian music, performing in concerts in Canada, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Ivory Coast, and many others.

Morijah’s discography includes the EP Recognition, with tracks such as “Mercy,” “My Defender,” and “Father,” as well as collaborations such as “Trust” with Krista Marguerite in 2022. With her unique sound and style, Morijah is poised to take the music world by storm.

Enthroned With Him

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet (1 Corinthians 15:25).

Talking about the Lord Jesus, the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:24-25 tells us, “Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.” That means He’s enthroned!

Notice that Paul didn’t say, “For he must reign, after he hath put all enemies under his feet,” no! Rather, he explained that He would reign till all enemies are under His feet. When did He start reigning? He started reigning when He sat down on the seat of the Majesty on high—at the right hand of the Father after His ascension.

Thanks be unto God! We’re seated together with Him, far above all principalities and powers. We’re enthroned with Him. He’s reigning right now through us over demons, hell and the grave. Romans 5:17 says, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”

We’ve received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. Now, we’re in office, reigning through Christ over the world and its systems, circumstances, Satan and his demonic community. Refuse sickness, failure, defeat, and death. Reign in life as a king. Reject everything that’s not of God, and endorse only that which is consistent with His perfect will for you. You’ve been enthroned to reign. Hallelujah!

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Christ reigns over all things for the glory of God and His Church. I’ve been graced to reign in this life, through righteousness. I exercise dominion through words, and I put Satan, his minions and the elements of this world in their place, for I function in, and with, the dominion of Christ. Hallelujah!
