Be Mindful Of Satan’s Strategies

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).

Every Christian who is effective in soul-winning and the spread of the Gospel around the world is marked by God for blessings. Satan also targets such saints. If you’re a good giver in the house of God, for example, just as Heaven and the angels mark you for blessings, Satan also marks you for attacks.

What does Satan attack? What does he go for? It’s not just your job; he knows you’re not sponsoring the Gospel just because you have a good job. It’s not your money either, for he knows if he attacks your finances, you can always get more. What he goes for is the Word of God in your life. He knows that that’s your secret; he knows the Word is your inspiration and strength.

You weren’t committed to the things of God and to giving financially in the house of God until you heard the Word that changed your life and made you commit your life and resources to the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So, it’s about the Word! The devil will try to take the Word away from you or discourage you. He’ll try to keep you away from the church or cause trouble between you and whoever teaches you the Word.

As the opening verse says, “Be sober, be vigilant…” (1 Peter 5:8). Guard the Word in your heart. Always drive it deep into your spirit through meditation. Continue evermore in the fellowship where the Word is being taught to you, rejoicing in the Lord always.

The more committed you are to the things of God and in the house of God, the more vigilant you ought to be in the spirit, walking in love and humility. Keep increasing in the knowledge of God’s Word, and speak in tongues often. Be filled with the Spirit, and your spiritual alertness and sensitivity will always be at its peak.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Dear Father, thank you for your Word which guides and directs me in the way that I should go. Thank you for the privilege and blessing of being committed to the spread of the Gospel. I refuse to allow anything to dissipate my zeal or prevent me from putting my best in the Gospel. I’m filled with the Spirit, spiritually sensitive and alert at all times, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Muyiwa Olarewaju is a British Singer-Songwriter and Broadcaster who has been making waves in the music industry by combining gospel music with elements of world music, soul, R&B, and pop. You can rise up in God’s strength today. This message is for you who think you are a failure in life.

Dear friend, you might have regrets in life. There are many wasted opportunities and many things you wish you could have done differently; isn’t that so?

Do not despair. There is still hope. For God is with you and for you. The only thing he demands is that you trust in him.

And when you trust in him you can rise up in God’s strength today. This is possible for four important reasons:

One, God is a God of compassion. He loves you. He understands the pressures you are facing in life. Even when others criticize and despise you, God sees your potential. He wants you to rise up and soar on wings in his strength today.

Secondly, God is a God of second chances. He doesn’t count you a failure even when you fail multiple times. He believes in your willingness to keep trying. Even if your efforts are imperfect God delights in you and gives you second chances to make it successful in life. Yes, he wants you to rise up in his strength today.

Thirdly, God is the master of creating opportunities. It doesn’t matter if all doors are closed. You go and keep knocking. In unexpected ways and from unexpected sources doors will open for you. So do not lie down in despair. Get up and rise up in God’s strength for opportunities will come to you.

Fourthly and finally, remember that with God nothing is impossible. The only thing that matters is whether in God’s eyes something that you desire is good for you or not.  If it is God’s will for your life do not look at the impossibility. But put your hope in God. He is bigger and stronger than all the giants you are facing at the moment. So believe that you can rise up in God’s strength today.

My dear friend, don’t look back at your past and lose hope. Do not despair. There is forgiveness with God. He wants you to rise up in his strength. He will rebuild your life once again. The faults and cracks, mistakes and failures, regrets and opportunities lost will all bow down to the absolute Lordship and leadership of God in your life.

Therefore there is no moment to waste. Do not wallow in self-pity. Look to God. Put your hope in him. And rise up in God’s strength today.

Rest easy ”Ekene”

Popular Nigerian drummer, Ekene, also known as Awolo Eky D, has passed away. He was a member of Gospel singer Sinach’s team and was especially known for playing the drums on her hit song “I Know Who I Am”.

Numerous reactions have trailed the news of his death. Drum Guruz took to their Facebook account to express shock and sadness at the news, saying that he was one of Nigeria’s greatest drummers. They also added that Ekene had left behind many memories and amazing things that would never be forgotten.

Sinach also shared her condolences on Instagram, describing how difficult it was to say goodbye to Ekene. She thanked him for his contribution to her music and expressed her sadness at his passing.

Ekene was a talented drummer who had a significant impact on the Nigerian music scene. He was known for his skill and passion for music, and his work will be greatly missed by his fans and colleagues.

News of his death has been met with an outpouring of tributes from fans and members of the music community. Many have described him as a kind and generous person who was always willing to help others.

Awolo Eky D aka Ekene was originally from Asaba, Nigeria but lived in Lagos, Nigeria. He studied Music at the University of Nigeria. According to reports, the star drummer who recently lost his father, also recently got married.

Ekene’s death is a significant loss to the Nigerian music industry, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of musicians. May his soul rest in peace.
