Muyiwa Olarewaju is a British Singer-Songwriter and Broadcaster who has been making waves in the music industry by combining gospel music with elements of world music, soul, R&B, and pop. With over 20 years of experience as a performer, broadcaster, and presenter, Muyiwa Olarewaju has been recognized as a leading gospel artist in the UK.

In 2009, Muyiwa became the first-ever international artiste to perform on America’s popular entertainment channel, BET, for the prestigious annual Celebration Of Gospel shows. He is also the presenter of the Turning Point program, which has an estimated global audience of 70 million, and Sounds of Africa plus Jewels of Africa on Airlines like Lufthansa, Kenyan, and more.

Muyiwa and Riversongz, his group, have sold out Indigo2 at the O2 in London and the Evetim Apollo with 5000 people, making them the first UK gospel act to do so. They have also played at the largest gospel music event in the world, The Experience, attracting 500,000 strong audiences.

As a broadcaster, Muyiwa has a late-night show on London’s Premier Christian Radio, which has an audience of 1.3 million listeners nationwide. He is also the Station Director of Premier Gospel. He has won numerous awards, including Best Presenter at the Oasis Awards in 2006, Best Radio Show, and Best Contribution to Gospel Music at the Gospel Music Awards in 2009.

Muyiwa grew up in Nigeria and moved to London at a young age, where he faced difficult times. He found stability and comfort in the church, which introduced him to gospel music. This became the only constant in his life, even amid the chaos of his home life. Muyiwa holds undergraduate qualifications in Business Studies at East London University and Music at Westminster University.

His unique style and message of hope have earned him recognition, with awards such as the Gospel Music Award for Best International Group, the Star award in the US, and Best UK Act at the inaugural Oraclez World Gospel Festival & Awards in 2009. Muyiwa has released seven albums that feature his distinctive rich, deep singing voice and unique “spoken word” monologues/raps.

Muyiwa occupies a unique space as a leading gospel artist in the UK, a broadcaster, and a thought leader. He aims to share the idea that there’s always hope, whoever and wherever you are, through his music. It’s not about agreeing with his religion but about spreading a message of hope to those who need it most.
