You’re Highly Favoured

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30).

As a Christian, the favour of God upon your life has distinguished and qualified you to be the head and not the tail, to be the best and receive the best. Psalm 5:12 says, “For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.”

In your life, be forever conscious that you’re divinely favoured. Ephesians 1:6 says He has made us accepted in the beloved. The word, “accepted” there is the Greek, “charitoo” which refers to being highly favoured.

It’s the same word that the angel brought to Mary in Luke 1:28“And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.” If the angel were to come to you today, he’ll use the same expressions, because it’s already written concerning you that you’re blessed and highly favoured!

This is what Paul was telling the Christians in Corinth in our theme verse when he called them sanctified. The word, “sanctification” is from the Greek “hagiasmos” and it means to be separated unto God, to be distinguished in Christ. You’ve become friends with God.

Luke 2:52 says concerning the Master, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” Did you know that the same is true about you? You have favour with God and with man. Therefore, in your life, welcome favours every day. Your life has been beautified with divine favours from God. Affirm this every day about yourself. Hallelujah!

PRAYER / CONFESSION

The favour of God upon my life has qualified me to be the best and receive the best. Today and always, in every place and in all that I do, God’s supernatural favour is manifested in my behalf. It opens doors and opportunities to me that can’t be humanly explained. I’m conscious of the favour-factor. Hallelujah!

LYRICS

Take this cup
Drink of Me
Take this
Bread
Think of Me
These were the Words that You spoke to me
So whenever I’m lonely
I won’t Forget

I Remember
What You Said
I Remember
What You Did
You have made all things new
God I remember You
I Remember You

Take My yoke
Come to Me
Take this rest
I’m all you need
These were the Words that You spoke to me
So whenever I’m lonely I won’t Forget

I Remember
What You Said
I Remember
What You Did
You have made all things new
God I remember You
I Remember You

You said You’re with me
I Know You Won’t Leave
You said You’re with me
I won’t Forget

Goodness & Mercy
Is Following me
You said You’re with me
I won’t Forget

I Remember What You Said
I Remember What You Promised
I Won’t Forget

I Remember What You Said
I Remember What You Promised
I Won’t Forget

Goodness & Mercy
Is Following me
You said You’re with me
I won’t Forget

You are a firm foundation
You are a firm foundation

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteous

I Remember What You Said
I Remember What You Promised
I Won’t Forget

Jesus, I’ll never forget what You’ve done for me
Jesus, I’ll never forget how You set me free
Jesus, I’ll never forget how You brought me out
Jesus, I’ll never forget, no never

How can I forget what You’ve done for me
How can I forget how You set me free
How can I forget how You brought me out
Jesus, I’ll never forget, no never

Authority Over All The Power Of The Enemy

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).

The word “power” is referenced twice in the verse above. But they don’t exactly mean the same thing. In the first reference where it says, “Behold I give unto you power,” it’s translated from the Greek, “exousia”, which means authority. The second one is from “dunamis” (Greek), which means power, ability, or “working.” Jesus gave us absolute authority over the power, ability or workings of the adversary.

There’s a difference between authority and ability. Let’s take the president of your country as an example. In his personal capacity, he can’t withstand the army of his country. But he’s got the authority of the state behind him! Therefore, when he exercises supreme command and control over his armed force or the military, they have to comply!

With all their weapons of war, the entire armed forces are at the president’s bidding; when he gives an instruction, they’re obligated to obey. They have power, weight or substance; but the president has authority. Authority changes everything.

It doesn’t matter how much power or force the enemy wields or can gather; you’ve been given authority over him in Jesus’ Name. The Bible says His Name is “high above all other government and authority and power and dominion, and every title of sovereignty used either in this Age or in the Age to come” (Ephesians 1:21 WNT). Hallelujah!

When this same Jesus tells you, “nothing shall by any means hurt you,” you better believe and act on it. Read what He tells us in 1 John 4:4“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Glorious news!

No wonder the Psalmist affirmed, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). You have nothing to fear in this life. Reign and rule in the Name of Jesus every day. Hallelujah!

PRAYER / CONFESSION

My authority in Christ is perfect and absolute. No evil, demon, or darkness can resist it! I’m seated with Christ, far above principalities and powers and everything that’s connected to Satan. I reign and rule over circumstances. Hallelujah!

Kolawole Bekes Drops New Single “Showed Up”

Award-winning saxophonist and recording artist Kolawole Bekes, originally from Ondo State, Lagos Nigeria, has released his latest single, “Showed Up,” accompanied by a music video. The release follows his debut single, “Gbope,” which came out in January 2023.

According to the musician, “Showed Up” is a song that raises an altar in anticipation of the move of the Holy Ghost. “Just like the disciples waited and the fire fell on them. The spirit is readily available to show up when we call,” he added. “It’s a song of koinonia and an encounter; as the Holy Ghost moves, lives are changed forever.”

Bekes was born and raised in Ondo state, Lagos Nigeria. His father taught him how to play the piano at the age of seven. He fell in love with the saxophone at the age of 18 and pursued his dream of becoming one of the best saxophonists by practicing seriously.

In 2009, Bekes launched his album titled “Shadow Personality,” which was a hit in Nigeria. He released three singles in January 2012, namely “Ijoba Orun,” “Bianule,” and “Belongs to You.” In 2013, he released a Christmas track titled “Party in the Manger,” followed by “Odogwu na Agha” in 2015 and a cover of “Nobody Greater” in 2016.

In 2016, he released his second album titled “You Are,” and has since performed at weddings, birthdays, government functions, and more. He has also performed on famous stages with well-known artists, such as Tasha Cobbs, Don Meon, Byron Cage, William Murphy, Tye Tribbute, Kurt Carr, and Chris Morgan, among others.

During a recent interview, Bekes motivated aspiring artists, saying, “No matter how old you are, have a dream. Commit it to God and nurture that dream by achieving small daily goals until your dream becomes a reality. Never give up, no matter what obstacle comes your way. Dream big and shoot for the stars. At the very least, you will land on the moon.”

Bekes’ latest single, “Showed Up,” is now available on all major digital platforms, along with the accompanying music video. Fans and listeners can expect more music from the talented saxophonist as he continues to make his mark in the gospel music scene.

The single has already garnered positive reviews and is expected to be a hit among the gospel music audience.
