International gospel music singer and songwriter Sinach has won the Top Christian Artist award at the 2021 edition of the Broadcast Music Inc. Awards Awards on Broadcast Music Inc.
This award brings her music awards haul to eight and her third win in the Song of The Year category. In her acceptance speech, Sinach credited God for the success and His faithfulness, “The Lord, you don’t know how far He will take you but He is faithful, Thank you so much this is exciting,” she said.
Since it’s release in 2015 “Way Maker” has broken records, gaining global recognition and awards as she became the first singer-songwriter to top the Billboard Christian Songwriter chart for 12 weeks in a row. The same song was nominated in the “Most Performed Christian Song of the Year” but got the win for “Song of The Year”.
Well wishes and commendations have come from all over world. Her colleagues in the music industry also waded in with congratulatory messages. Sammie Okposo, an international Nigerian artiste shared, “congratulations my sister i celebrate with you more to come.”
Sinach rose to international prominence in 2015 after the release of several hit songs including , “I know who I am”, “I Stand Amazed”, “Simply Devoted” “Great Are You Lord”, “Rejoice” and many others.
