Best known for being a Gospel singer, Sibusiso Desmond Mthembu was born in 1986 in Kwazulu-Natal, born in the millennials generation. He rose to fame after his single “Hallelujah Nkateko” that became the world’s favorite, he’s since made giant strides in his music dishing out spirit lifting songs and got himself nominated for various awards including amongst others at the SABC Crown Gospel song. He is popularly known by his stage name Sbu Noah.

After relocating to Johannesburg to continue his University education, he bagged a degree in Anatomy. Due to his vocal ability which put him over and above many others, he was spotted by Lindelani Mkhize who was then a member of the famous Joyous Celebration South African gospel group. Through Lindelani, Sbu would later join the group. He later released his hit song “Hallelujah Nkateko”.

His first official solo studio album titled ‘A David Kind Of Psalm” and was released officially in 2019, it housed many great songs including :

 Talking about his purpose of living and serving God, he penned down on his Instagram page the following, “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Psalm 84:10”

He is a songwriter and a TV Presenter, hosting a Gospel show on Dumisa TV.

He continues to shine brighter and brighter with his music dedicated to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
